چکیده

Background: Spinal anesthesia (SA) is a frequently used method by anesthesiologists in patients who may not need general or have contraindication for applying anesthesia. Nevertheless, numerous contemplations to be considered when using this method. Objectives: We compared the effect of intravenous (IV) administration dexamethasone versus dexmedetomidine alongside subarachnoid injection Bupivacaine terms spinal quality opium-addicted patients. Patients and Methods: This parallel randomized clinical trial (RCT) was conducted on aged 18 65 with The American Society Anesthesiologists (ASA) class I/II candidates surgery under SA. In one group, at dose 0.5 μg/kg body weight injected intravenously 10 minutes before then during surgery. another 8 mg surgery, normal saline rate μg/kg/h infused primary outcomes were onset sensory block, motor regression two levels duration block. secondary total analgesia time first requirement.
